Tiverton Litter Pick

As part of our topic on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Tiverton have been learning all about littering and the negative impact this can have on the environment. In order to play an active part in looking after our community, we decided to organise our very own litter pick. We walked from school to Shaw Park and picked up any litter we could see on the way. When we got to the park, we did a lap around and picked up even more rubbish! Pupils really enjoyed this activity and were shocked by how much rubbish they had found littered around the community. As we were picking up the litter, pupils were discussing how we were saving wildlife and preventing the rubbish from going into the nearby river and onto the ocean. A great learning experience - brilliant work guys!
